Access to the FERA Community Pool Is for Eligible Residents & Guests Only
The pool facility is for residents who are current in their common charges / assessments / fines as reported by their associations to the FERA board. Delinquent residents may not be a guest of other unit owners.
If you lost or need a pool pass, please download, print, and fill out this form, then give it to the appropriate contact at your village.
Pool Hours (Weather Permitting)
The pool is scheduled to open on Saturday, May 27th, 2023. It will be open on Sunday, the 28th, and Monday, the 29th. The hours will be 10 AM-8 PM.
The pool will reopen on June 3rd & 4th from 10 AM-8 PM. Then, the pool will be open every day starting June 10th until June 30th from 10 AM-8 PM.
It will be open every day from July 1st to July 31st from 10 AM – 9 PM.
August 1st to September 4th, the pool hours will be 10 AM-8 PM.
September 5th to September 17th the pool will be open from 11 AM-7 PM.
The pool will close for the season on Sunday, September 17th, 2023.
Use of Pool
- The Pool Attendant is the Board’s representative and is responsible for the strict enforcement of the rules. The Pool Attendants are not lifeguards. He/She is authorized to bar any condominium owner, guest, or child from the facilities for the violation of any FERA rules. A written statement is to be filed with the FERA Board within 24 hours if such an action is taken. Any child can be given a “time out” by the Pool Attendant for unacceptable behavior. They will be given 2 warnings for failure to obey rules and then given a time out.
- Each home owner or renter will receive pool passes for each permanent resident of the unit. We reserve the right to request a government issued ID as proof of residency. Residents must give their pool passes to the Pool Attendant when they wish to use the pool facilities. Pool passes are non transferable.
- Each unit is permitted four (4) guests at the pool. Please remember that children of guests count in this total. Guests must be accompanied by the unit owner or resident and must sign the guest book. Guests must leave when the unit owner leaves. Unaccompanied children between the ages of 12 and 17 may not bring a guest. You must be at least 18 years of age to bring a guest to the pool. Residents are responsible for their guests. The guests are expected to abide by the pool rules.
- Parents and designated baby-sitters are responsible for the children they bring to the pool. Pool Attendants are not baby-sitters.
Pool Safety and Health
- Children under twelve (12) years of age are allowed at the pool when accompanied by an adult or designated baby-sitter. Designated baby-sitters must be at least 15 years old and be pre-registered by the parents of the child. These forms are available from the Pool Attendants.
- The pool can be closed at any time due to breakdown, operational difficulties, or inclement weather at the discretion of the Pool Committee or Pool Attendant. You may call 203-481-0200 during pool hours to check if the pool is open.
- Bathing suits must be worn at all times. Children in diapers must wear swim diapers under their bathing suits.
- No glass of any kind is allowed in the pool area.
- Children who cannot swim or are wearing life preservers, life jackets, or water wings are not allowed out of the shallow 3 foot roped off area unless accompanied by an adult in the pool. The pool exit ladders should remain accessible at all times. Pool toys and floats may be disallowed at the discretion of the Pool Attendant.
- Sanitary facilities are provided in the bathhouse.
- Pets are not allowed in the pool area.
- Alcohol consumption should be kept under control.
- All accidents must be reported to the Pool Attendant immediately and a report made out.
Pool Etiquette
- Please keep pool area clean. Please dispose of dirty diapers in the designated pail located at the shallow end of the pool area by the fence.
- No boisterous behavior, excessive noise, shoving, running, skateboards, roller blades, or bicycles are permitted. Ball throwing and frisbee throwing are not allowed in the pool or pool area. This can be done on the grassy area outside the gates of the pool. Soft and squishy balls and toys will be allowed if the pool is not crowded.
- The lap lane is used for swimming laps only. Only one person should be using it at a time. Please do not sit on the edge of the pool next to the lap lane.
- Music is for personal enjoyment only. Please control the volume. Plug in radios and external speakers are not allowed.
- Do not sit or hang on any ropes.
- Please use towels on the lounge chairs to prevent staining from oils and sun blocks.
- Eating and drinking in or at the edge of the pool is not allowed.
- SMOKING AND VAPING ARE NOT PERMITTED ANYWHERE IN THE POOL AREA.
- Be considerate and don’t save seats for more than an hour.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES CAN RESULT IN SUSPENSION OF POOL PRIVILEGES.
